3 Tips to Quantum Leap with Price Pritchett

You-Squared by Price Pritchett

I feel stuck.

Despite my best efforts to gain some modicum of success, things are at a snails pace or hardly moving at all. Since my debut novel self-published on Amazon, I have had some few sales. My marketing efforts generated some hype but hardly any conversions. Since my publication in June and from the time of writing this (Jan. 17, 2025), I sold 54 books plus another 16 during my book signing event.

That’s only 70 books sold. Not quite the bestselling, million-dollar success story I had envisioned.

But what if my success (and yours) aren’t too far off but closer than we think? What if instead of making small steps, we make a bold move—a literal massive jump in a different direction? What if we need to make a quantum leap?

This is where You² (‘You-Squared’) comes in. Price Pritchett introduces the idea of multiplying your success through unconventional, high-impact actions rather than incremental improvements. Pritchett urges us to rethink our approach towards our goals and challenges. Instead of grinding harder, focus on making a BIG, quantum leap move.

So how do we do that? Let’s go over Pritchett’s 3 core points:

  1. Let go of Limiting Beliefs and Behaviours.

  2. Focus on Bold Actions.

  3. Take the Leap.

Let’s begin!

1. Push Past your Limiting Beliefs & Behaviors

Negative self-talk, bad habits and complacency are obstacles for success according to Pritchett. Many individuals striving for success stagnate because they depend on old habits and routines that served them well in the past. But to grow and succeed, you have to get comfortable with doing uncomfortable things. Which means new attitudes, new beliefs and new behaviors.

To make a quantum leap, Pritchett suggests to stop clinging onto what feels safe and traditional. Be unique—walk the path others dared not to take. Overcome the addiction to old ways. You² challenges the belief that success has to come slowly or progress in a linear way. Focus on possibilities!

To use myself as an example, I need to learn to:

  • Experiment with bolder marketing strategies for The Last Guardians Of Atlantis—such as giving away physical copies of my books to schools, libraries or even people on the street!

  • Add fresh, interactive and unique elements to my Twitch stream for better engagement. This could make my sessions stand out more!

  • Let go of mental boundaries like ‘imposter syndrome’ and common sense—in order for me to achieve great success, I must give myself permission to dream and to reach for the possibilities!

I’m excited to start implementing these strategies!

2. Focus on High-Impact Actions

Pritchett urges us to identify one or two moves that’ll create exponential/quantum leap results. He suggests to take the time and figure out where you want to go.

According to Pritchett, everyone has the resources and opportunity to achieve success. What has been absent was our decisions to go for it. What I learned during my journey was to ask myself this: What’s the one bold step I’ve been afraid to take but change everything?

For me, these were:

  • Pitching my book to major influencers in the young-adult scene and local bookstores.

  • Commit to creating a viral content strategy that shows my author journey or unique personality on all my socials.

The point here is to be clear and precise on where you want to go and what you want to achieve. So point yourself in a direction and fire away. Take the risk and the action and you’ll be astonished at the results. I was with my book and the journey is still continuing for me.

3. Trust the Process and Take the Leap.

To reiterate, You² is about action and taking risks even when you feel uncertain and uncomfortable. All too often we’re paralyzed by doubts and fears but Pritchett urges us to ignore them and take the leap. Of course this requires courage and faith. Not blind faith but confidence in your abilities to learn and adapt along the way.

It took me awhile to decide to take the risk and dive into the world of writing. I waited for that “perfect moment”— that moment where I felt ready but that never came. The reality is that perfection doesn’t exist and the right moment is created by simply starting. So, I started. If not now then when, right?

Pritchett’s point emerges again today where I currently feel stuck. I have to remind myself that the leap is always risky but the greatest risk is staying stuck and not doing anything about it.

So, using tips from You² I’m going to:

  • Trust my creativity and dive into Book 2, The Last Princesses Of Atlantis, without overthinking and perfectionism. This’ll reignite my creative passion with energy and fresh ideas!

  • Trust my instincts and dive into ideas that excite me. To experiment with paths I never thought of or too intimidated to try. Better to learn from failure then to ask myself, “What If?”

  • Be unapologetic in presenting myself as a multi-talented content creator, author and aspiring entrepreneur.

In You², Pritchett’s philosophy reminds us that the leap itself creates the momentum needed for exponential growth. In short, when you trust the process, you don’t need to see the entire staircase to take the first step. Pritchett then leaves the reader with actionable steps to begin:

  1. Visualize success: Spend some time picturing your ideal goal and the feeling of achieving it.

  2. Take one scary step: Write down one bold action you’ve been scared to take and commit to doing it!

  3. Reward yourself: Not only celebrate the small wins but also your courage to take bold action.

What I learned from re-reading You², is that feeling stuck and being in a rut is a natural part of striving for success. In fact, Pritchett suggests stagnation isn’t a sign to stop but a signal to take a leap.

So, I encourage you the reader, to embrace where you are in your journey to success. Let’s believe in ourselves, focus on making bold moves and having faith in the leap.

I leave you with this question: What’s one bold action you can take today that could shift your entire trajectory?
